to see LePig's own Republican/Tea Party controlled senate give him the "finger". †applause †Maybe LePig will now get a sense of what it's like to be ignored, like when LePig ignores the will of the people. †dunno

Maine Senate overturns vetoes in 47 minutes

AUGUSTA (AP) ó Maine's Republican-controlled Senate has voted to keep $60 million worth of spending initiatives that Gov. Paul LePig tried to strike out of the state budget.

The Senate overwhelmingly and quickly rejected each of the governor's 64 line-item budget vetoes on Friday. The Democratic-led House voted to override the vetoes Thursday evening.

But the debate over the $6.7 billion spending plan is still not over. LePig is expected to veto the budget as a whole and he has until June 29 to do so.
