Local Actor in Billy Graham Movie

A local man spent a month in Tennessee last spring working with a professional film company and movie actor / director, Robby Benson. Larry Bisbee, of East Dixfield, Maine said, " It was great working on the feature-length film, "Billy, The Early Years", the story of 20th century Icon, Billy Graham , when he was a young man trying to decide his future.,who becomes a charismatic preacher who has reached some two billion

people with his ministry". The movie chronicles Billy Graham's life during his teen years and his twenties in the film that was released just this past (October 10,2008) week around the nation. " I had an opportunity to work on set with some fabulous actors including Armie Hammer, who portrays the young Graham in the film", said Bisbee.. Other well-known actors in the film are Lindsey Wagner and Martin Landau .

Bisbee has been around the camera and on stage on many occasions over the

years. Most recently he wrote, directed and produced the Maine movie, "Barefoot Country Girl", a fundraiser for youth music scholarships at the Countryfolk Music Theatre in East Dixfield and for the past thirty years or so, Larry has been involved in music as a radio broadcaster, actor and writer. His work has ranged from professional touring theatre director, disc jockey, magazine publisher to show promoter, news correspondent, YMCA Director and public administrator. Bisbee's theatre credits include Heidelburg Theatre Conference, Germany;

Toul Rosieres Theatre Project, France; Sandy River Players (co-founder)Farmington, Maine and movie credits "Stargate" 1993 with Kurt Russell. Bisbee was involved with the development of the Musicians of Maine TV show as booking agent and advisor, the Countryfolk Music Theatre in Maine, the Maine State Touring Theatre Foundation and has done voice-overs and filming for national advertising agencies..

Bisbee is currently working on a documentary about filmmaking and a secondary film about railroading and itinerant workers (HOBOS) Also in the works is a new screenplay about "mudruns and 4X4 redneck shenanigans", he commented.
