She could have really simplified that letter: Dear Dave, I don't like John Patrick. I don't like Med-care. I don't like Dean Milligan. I don't like your wife. I hope we can still be friends even though you are helping to fleece the taxpayers. Sincerely, Jen

I think most of us, by now, are fluent in JSN-ese. I am planning to get a job as a UN simultaneous translator as soon as she takes over the Western Hemisphere.

"That's not how you fix my car" "You're doing my taxes wrong" "That's not how you frame a house".....

Jeeze, I'm pretty sure there is a reason why we leave things to the people who know what they are doing.

Timeout, you are correct, the County IMAT vehicle supported by Med-Care has been around longer than the Rumford vehicle.

I believe that since Rumford already has an IMAT vehicle that this vehicle could be better utilized by another town in Oxford County

Once again, thinking only about Rumford... I'm pretty sure that if the Med-Care unit were placed some other place in the county that certain individuals would complain that we are misusing Rumford's money by sending that vehicle to be used as a command vehicle in other towns. Med-Care is an ideal location to have a vehicle like this, although I do think that its use and availability should be better managed.

"In addition, under the National Incident Management System, typically a Fire Chief is the Incident Commander."

Like was said, this may be fairly accurate on a local level, but "under the NIMS" which was the point made, it is definately not the case. Get your info straight. Ever heard the term "Unified Command", if you know anything about NIMS you should. It relates to various agencies working together in the Incident Command position. And what does Med-Care having an IMAT vehicle and the Fire Chief being in command matter. Nothing says that the person driving the IMAT vehicle has to be in command.

various agencies working together

This is the first concept she will have to comprehend before she can move on to "unified command".
