I am particularly sensitive to this form of expression. My step-great-grandfather (long story) was A. Oakey Hall, mayor New York City under the Tweed Ring, and he was hounded from office in part by the famous cartoons of Thomas Nast. This cartoon is Nastian (not nasty, Nastian).
As much as I try, I can not get this program to host a Thomas Nast cartoon. Check out http://www.vlrc.com. The guy with the big glasses is A. Oakley Hall, mayor of New York in the late 1860's, who twenty years later, married my great-grandmother.
Well, that didn't work either. You guys will have to Google Thomas Nast. Look for the guy with the owl glasses. That's hizzoner A. Oakley Hall. Has nothing to do with Annie Oakley, you crass and uninformed bloggers, you.
Phil Blampied wrote:All right. Is that a paste and patch kind of cartoon or did you actually do that yourself? And if so, who the heck are you? You have that much talent and you're hiding among the anona-bloggers?
Oh no, I didn't draw it- I simply embellished it! Added the needed accessories....
